Ita tamen quod stet recto in cur' nostra si quis versus eum loqui voluerit de prodicionibus et feloniis supradictis non obstante quod ipse in parliamento nostre ut unus illorum qui cartas nostras de perdonacione huiusmodi habere non debuerunt exceptis extitit. Text (English translation) | Cambridge. Thomas Fourbour of Cambridge was arrested for divers misdeeds in the insurrection and rebellion against the lord king ... appear before the justices led from the gaol by the keeper. [paraphrase] Thomas claims that he had been pardoned by the king. The pardon, dated at Westminster, 17 July 1384, and which covered his exclusion from parliamentary amnesty, is recited in court. The name given in the pardon is Fourbisshour. A writ 'de non molestando' [not to be molested], dated Westminster, 18 July 1384, after he provided security for his future good behaviour, is also presented in court. Thomas pleads to be liberated from the king's prison etc. And on inspection of the aforesaid king's writs it is agreed that the said Thomas may hence go without a day etc. [i.e. he is discharged]. |
