John White appears by his attorney against Robert Quytteney of Brandeston, Adam Brayd, Henry Wodehous, Robert atte Herre of Hoveton, Alan Sturmy of Whitwell, John Shorte of Whitwell, John Berchere, Thomas Grene of Hackford, Richard Aleyn and Roger his son, John Haywier, Robert Thurkild, Richard Cok, Robert Gynger, Thomas Rose of Booton, Thomas Waleys and John Cok of Lamas on a plea that with force and arms they broke into the closes and houses of the same John White at Lamas, Mannington(?) and Swannington and felled his trees lately growing there, and took and carried away those trees, as well as other goods and chattels of his found in there to the value of 60 marks, and also 40 marks of his money in cash, and also a certain box and two bags of his, with charters, writings and other muniments contained in the box and two bags found there, and they threatened to demolish the houses of the same John White until had made a fine of 15 marks with the aforesaid Robert, Adam, Henry, Robert, Alan, John Shorte, John Berghere, Thomas, Richard, Roger, John Haywier, Robert, Richard, Robert, Thomas, Thomas and John Cok, and other enormities, against the peace.
