| Text (English translation) | London. John Tayllour, William Albon, Richard Wakere and John Chapman of Croydon were attached to respond to John Salesbury glasier in a plea that with force and arms they broke into the same John Salesbury's house in London and [they inflicted] other enormities etc. to the damage of the said John Salesbury of £40 etc. and against the king's peace etc. And therefore the said John Salesbury by his attorney Edmund Heryng made a complaint [before the court] that the said John Tayllour, William, Richard and John Chapman on Friday after Corpus Christi 4 Richard II (14 June 1381) with force and arms, namely with swords etc., broke into the house of the same John Salesbury at London, namely in the parish of St Brigid the Virgin in Farringdon ward Without, and other enormities etc. at the damage of the same John Salesbury of £40 and against the peace etc. and thus he says he suffered damages of £60 and thereupon he brings suit etc. And the aforesaid John Tayllour, William, Richard and John Chapman by [blanc] their attorney come and defend the force and injury ... They ask for a day to plea until the quindene of Easter ... London. The same John Salesbury, glasier, by his attorney appears against William Charles, John Chapeleyn, William Spragidde, Richard Wygard, John Spragyde of Hoo, Richard Bole, John Rye, John Pekham of Clyve, John Pollard, Robert Smyth of Orpington, Abel Cere, John Rokesle, Henry Goldhank, Walter Robert, John Aylward of Harwich, William Wysdom, William Bole, Walter Wysdom and John Plomer on a plea that with force and arms they broke into the house of the same John Salesbury in London and other enormities etc. at the damage of the same John Salesbury of £40 of £40 and against the peace etc. And they do not come. And as before the sheriffs had been ordered to arrest them. And the sheriffs now return that the aforesaid William Charles and the others cannot be found and that they do not have anything [by which they can be restrained]. Therefore the sheriffs are ordered to put them in the exigent from Husting to Husting until etc. and to outlaw them if not etc. then to capture them. So that they have their bodies before the king's bench the day before Martini ... Norfolk. John White by his attorney appears against William Cadyman of Honing, John de Pulham of Honing, Geoffrey de Pulham of Honing, Nicholas Pilte of Honing, John Nicholservant Pilte of Honing, Martin Jonesservant de Pulham, John Gerveys of Honing, John Fayer, Peter Carp, Edmund Elfeld of Honing, Adam Symond of Crostwight, John Godrede, Richard Lemmere, William Balle, John Kyde of Crostwight, John Mey, thaxter, John Cros of Honing, Geoffrey Mey, Roger Spenser, William Taillour, Thomas Lombe, Peter Dosse of Honing, Alexander Bryd of Stalham and John Smyth de Hempstead on a plea of trespass.
