Text (English translation)Norfolk. Thomas Bardolf appears through John Drake, his attorney, against William Vaus of Frettenham, John Vaus, Clement Vaus, William Pope and Clement de Thwayt on a plea that with force and arms they broke the close and houses of the said Thomas at Spixworth and took and carried away his goods and chattels found there to the value of £20, and they burnt charters, writings and other muniments of his found there, and other enormities, against the King's peace. And they do not come. And as before the sheriff was ordered to arrest them. And the sheriff reports that they cannot be found. Therefore, as frequently the sheriff was ordered to arrest them and produce them here at the octave of John the Baptist 1382.
