Text (English translation) | Writ to the sheriff of Essex to distrain Richard Soham of Langley, John Lethrel of Langley, Thomas Buk of Langley, William Buk of Langley, William Fryday of Langley, Richard Davy of Langley, John Aleyn of Langley and Thomas Carter of Langley to answer to the Prior of St Bartholomew that they broke the house of the Prior at Clavering and took goods and chattels worth £40 and burnt his muniments there. Dated 20 April 1382. |
