Text (English translation) | Andrew Cavendyssh, knight, by his attorney versus John Dobbes of Sudbury, Thomas Bryan of Sudbury, John Holand of Sudbury, cordwainer and John Barbour of Sudbury, holy water clerk, on a plea that with force and arms they broke the close and houses of the same Andrew at Cavendish at Cavendish, and took and carried away goods and chattels worth £100, and inflicted other injuries, to the great damage of the said Andrew and against the king's peace. They do not appear; the sheriff is ordered to arrest them and returns that they are not found and have nothing; order to outlaw them and that they should appear before the king in the octave of St. Hilary; then on the feast of St. John; on which day the sheriff does not send the writ; ordered to appear on the feast of St. Martin; octave of St. Michael; quindene of Trinity. |
