John Sewale of Coggeshall, plaintiff, by his attorney appears against John Toppelee of Rochford, John Yinge of Rochford, John Chercheman of Shoebury, John Cavendyssh of Shoebury, John Boteler, John Kent of Rochford, John Grove of Maldon, tanner, Jacob Treche, shipman, John Facoun junior, John Facoun senior, William Langnase of Northfleet, cleric, John Gerefauk of Barling, Thomas Thurkild of Barling and Albinus Adam of 'Heywode' [unidentfied], defendants, on a plea of trespass. And they [the defendants] do not come. And the sheriff had been ordered that he should capture them etc. And the sheriff reports that they cannot be found ... Therefore, the sheriff is ordered as before to arrest them etc. ... And to have their bodies before us [the justices] the day after St John the Baptist [i.e. 25th June] ... |
