The Prior of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem in England [John de Redington], plaintiff, by his attorney John Bretton, appears against Richard Avenant, John Westgate, Thomas Couprere, Richard Kent, William fitz Piers, John Umfrey Thomas Alston and John Galand, defendants, on a plea that with force and arms they broke the close and the houses of the said prior at Fryerning and took and carried away the timber of the said houses worth £10.
