Text (English translation) | For William Wyghtman The King to his treasurer and barons of the exchequer, greetings. For certain reasons, we command that you desist the demand that William Wyghtman answer and satisfy us regarding the chattels of diverse felons, discovered rising up in the town of Huntyngdon [Huntingdon, Hunts. now Cambs.] during the recent disturbance in our kingdom, or regarding the value of the same, just as was undertaken by means of a summons of the exchequer aforesaid, until the quindene of Easter next [25 April 1384]. Witnessed by myself at Westminster, 30 January 7 Rich. II [1384]. |
