Richard Stacy senior by Richard Waltham his attorney, plaintiff, appears against John Loof of Boreham junior, John Duk et William his son, Robertum Sherreve, John Parker, tailor, lately living in Chelmsford, Richard atte Ree, John Belamy, John Mauntel of Bradwell on Sea, John Pottok, John Derby junior, Thomas Colman of Boreham, John atte Persones, Thomas Bryd of Chelmsford, chandler, John 'the Personesman' of Boreham, John Gray de Herefordstock [= Stock], Robert Copyn, John Strangere of Herefordstock [= Stock], Roger Ketyll, William Hened, carpenter, William Neghebour, John Samar of Hanningfield, John Saleman of Hanningfield and Thomas Belamy of Herefordstock [= Stock], defendants, on a plea that with force and arms they broke the close and the houses of the same Richard Stacy at Broomfield and burnt the charters, deeds and other muniments found there and took and carried away his goods and chattels found there worth £20. And other enormities etc. And against the peace etc. And they [the defendants] do not come. Sheriff had been ordered to arrest them.
