Text (English translation) | Response of Roger de Boys, knight, and associate of the executors of William Ufford lately Earl of Suffolk identified below. All indictments, records, processes, rolls and memoranda which were held before the late Earl below containing information on the insurrection and in the custody of the late Earl at the time of his death with original writs and all else touching the same we send in a certain bag except that writ of the indictment that was held before the late Earl and his associates the justices below in the liberty of Saint Edmund regarding the aforesaid insurrection, which the aforesaid late Earl delivered to Thomas de Morieux one of the justices of the aforesaid insurrection, and in whose possession they remain (and) whose names are (appended) to this letter. |
