Text (English translation)Christopher Shukkeburgh versus Richard Payn, Further process Richard Payn attached to answer Christopher Shukkeburgh by his attorney Richard Skyp on a plea that together with John atte Hoke and Robert Mellere on 12 June 1381 with force and arms, namely swords, bows and arrows he broke the close and houses of the said Christopher at Shorne and took and carried away charters and writings, namely twenty charters, thirty debt obligations, rolls, rentals and other muniments, and did other damage to the value of £20. Richard comes himself and day is given him in octave of S. Michael - mainprised by Nicholas Peny, Giles Beywere, Elias Edmund and John Snowe to be in CP then.
