Text (English translation) | Essex. John Sewale by John Sumpter his attorney appears against John Odyn chaplain, John London, John Hoditch, Roger Pollard, John Pollard, John Webbe, Roger Shepherd and Richard son of John atte Grove on a plea that with force and arms at Goldhanger they burnt a bag of the said John containing rolls, writings and other memoranda. And they do not come. The sheriff is ordered to arrest them, but returns that they are not found. Therefore as before the sheriff is ordered to arrest them and to have their bodies in court in the three weeks of Easter 1383. |
