William Smyth and William Padinak join rebel company and attempt to free prisoners
[The jurors] also say that William Smyth, dwelling in East Dereham, and William Padinak went through the country and met with the great society, and were sworn by that society, that is that William Smyth went to the constables of Dereham, commanding them that they should deliver the prisoners from the gaol that they could be sworn [i.e. to the society], but nothing on this was done, and on the advice of the constables he desisted, and afterwards he was arrested by the lord's bailiffs for the aforesaid reason and is in the custody of the bailiffs of the hundred.
