Location in MS: 'the Westhalf the Water' - uncertain. A will from 1327 survives in the name of William By-Westhalf-the-Water. It is from King's Lynn. There has been a lot of discussion over the years as to whether this is a personal nickname or a real placename - this suggests the latter.
