Insurrection of Robert Hemery and John Mellere, 3rd July 1381
Robert Hemery of Lenham and John Mellere of Ulcombe rose against the king and his people at Lenham on 3rd July 1381 and made various men to swear to them to rise against the king and his magnates, and seized various victuals, namely fresh fish, worth 13 s., and they are common traitors to the king.
