True bill re. crimes against William Topclyve, Nicholas Heryng and Thomas Trevet by John Gybbeville and Robert Cosyn, 6-14 June 1381
Inquisition on behalf of the king into whether John Gybbeville of Maidstone and Robert Cosyn of the same rose with force and arms and sustained wrongdoers against the king and his people in the insurrection and broke into the houses of William Topclyve in the parish of Maidstone and Nicholas Heryng and others in North Cray, and continued in their wickedness to rise up from 6th until the 14th June 1381. And whether the same Robert with other wrongdoers on 8th June took Thomas Trevet, knight, in East Malling, and carried him to West Malling and made him swear obedience to them against his will.
