Richard Horsman rises up and burns documents at Tring
Richard Horsman, together with others, made an insurrection firstly by his own authority, on Monday 17 June 1381, and he was the principal insurrector against the lord king and his crown and allegiance treasonably, and he made a standard of the arms of St George and went with the aforesaid standard into diverse parts of the county of Hertfordshire, and made certain proclamations so that men of the aforesaid county might rise up against the lord king and his crown to the disinheritance of the said lord king. And also he treasonably and feloniously burnt books, muniments and rolls of the archbishop of Canterbury about Tring at Tring.
