Simon Dominik, vicar of the church of Mildenhall, came, together with others, to Newmarket on Friday 14 June 1381, to the house of Ralph atte Wyke, and spoke to the same Ralph, accusing him of the abduction, harbouring and detention of a certain daughter of Ralph de Walsham. And he threatened him that unless he had the aforesaid daughter come and delivered her to them, he would decapitate him; whereas the same Ralph atte Wyke had not seen the said daughter or ever harboured her. He produces a pardon and goes free.
