Property of John of Gaunt at Hertford attacked by John Coltman and numerous others of Essex and Hertfordshire; they broke the close and stole goods and chattels worth £1000. They do not appear; sheriff ordered to attach them; John Blithe, Nicholas Blake and Walter Lechs of Ware are attached by Laurence Mot and Adam Lot and are in mercy; the others have nothing; on 15 July 1383 Roger Marchal and others appear [remainder illegible].
