Petition from the Abbot of Peterborough concerning punishment of tenants involved in the rising
The abbot and convent request that the correction of their tenants involved in the rebellion be granted to them, or that another remedy is ordained so that the abbot and abbey are not destroyed and burnt by them in the future, and that no charter of pardon is granted to any of those indicted until they have made satisfaction for their rebellion. The rebels have been indicted before Lord de la Zouche by a commission of the king.
