Rebellion of Stephen Byppes and others
The jurors present that Stephen Byppes of Scottow, John Wattes of the same, Richard Fylimond of Buxton and John Gentelomme of the same made an assembly from village to village against the king's peace and then extricated themselves [i.e. they fled]. And that Thomas de Suthfolk of Swanton Abbott did likewise on Monday 17th June 1381.
