Thomas atte Sole splits the king's bed in the Tower of London, 14 June 1381
Thomas atte Sole of Gravesend confesses that he was within the king's chamber in the Tower of London on 14th June 1381 and with his sword split the king's bed saying that he was looking for betrayers like Thomas Heryng and others.
