It was presented that John Trippelowe, cutler, with many other wrongdoers, rose up against his allegiance and the king's peace in the town of Cambridge on Sunday 16th June 1381, and that he was one of the leaders in the attack on the Prior of Barnwell and his close, and in coercing the mayor of Cambridge, Edmund Redmedwe, to make proclamations against the law and customs of the realm, and supporting everything done against the said Prior and his home.
