13/03/1375Great Dunmow,EssexOn 13 March 1375 and at many other times, John Boys of Great Dunmow received Walter Rakenham, John Hoberd and Robert Taylor, thives, knowing they were indicted for felony. Hoberd became an approver 26/09/1375 and confessed to 31 felonies in Essex, Middlesex, Herts, Surrey etc. He escaped from Colchester Castle in 1378: Furber, p. 153 n. 1.
