John Gelder, staying in Bury St Edmunds, was a common leader of wrongdoers and was captured by the men of Thetford, because the aforesaid John had on him 6 marks 28 and a half d. and had a horse, saddle and bridle, and a sword and shield worth 2 marks, the which chattels were in the custody of John Berd, Richard Paltok and Thomas Walter.
