John Seynt Pere is indicted before the aforesaid justices of the peace of the lord king, on account that he came on Sunday 9 June 1381 to Brampton by Harlestone in the aforesaid county and elsewhere within the said county, saying and affirming that he is a merchant of wools by the name of John Phelipott of London, knight, by colour of the purchase of the aforesaid wools, he incited and procured diverse men of the aforesaid county to surge and rise up against the lord king and his peace and allegiance.
