DetailsElizabeth, who was the wife of Ralph Spygurnell, knight, appeals Theobald Elys of the county of Kent, on account that he, on Friday 14 June 1381, together with other wrongdoers, in the parish of St Olave in the ward of Aldgate, feloniously broke into the close and houses of the same Elizabeth, and took and carried away her goods and chattels, viz linen and woolen cloths, gold and silver rings and other goods and chattels to the value of £100, found there, and [inflicted] other outrages, etc, to the damage of £1,000 against the peace of the king, etc. The defendant pleads not guilty.
