The burgesses request confirmation of their charters of liberties with clause licet and that they have chattels of felons, all manner of forfeitures, escheats and deodands within their town and other liberties.
Response: Because the burgesses remained loyal to the king during the last rumour and riot and notwithstanding the approach of the rioters, the king grants them confirmation of their charters with clause licet without paying a fine or the fee for the seal.
