Also they present that John Gentilhume of Buxton, Richard Fylmond of the same and John Wattes of Scottow were chief raisers of the whole county, usurping royal power and making new laws, in prejudice of the lord king, travelling from village to village on Friday 21st June [1381] throughout the whole county, rising in revolt, summoning and calling upon the commons of various villages, against the crown and the laws of England, in prejudice of the said crown.
