Details | [The jurors] also say that John Reynold, beheaded at Hollesley, John Northerne called 'Northern John', John Box and John Calange of Bawdsey and William Bert junior at the time of the rising came in a warlike manner and against the dignity of the crown to the villages of Bawdsey and Hollesley and feloniously entered the manor of de Ufford, the Earl of Suffolk in the aforesaid village and feloniously destroyed and burnt charters, rolls and other muniments of the said earl of Suffolk on Friday 14th June 1381. |
